Michael is a social entrepreneur, educator, podcaster, and presenter. He has over 10 years of experience in African Affairs & Community building having worked for the UK Government, the Not-for-Profit sector, and now Facebook.

His experiences living, visiting, or working in 36 countries (16 of them in Africa) as a Black man made him question why he was judged ‘on the color of his skin rather than the content of his character’.

To process his experience, he sought to understand the history of Race and spent 4 years learning human & Black history as well as ideas for racial progress under author and academic giant Robin Walker (African Union).

This transformational education inspired Michael to start building A Tribe Called Progress an educational platform that curates the knowledge of leading experts to build a roadmap for racial equity. ATCP is focused on:
1) Teaching the past to inform the present and transform the future
2) Ensuring people know better… to do better
Although still in its infancy, ATCP has educated over 500 people across 3 continents and delivered masterclasses to FTSE 100 companies.

Michael continues to use his knowledge to educate and entertain. Before the Corona Virus Lockdowns Michael compared and moderated conferences featuring VIPs including the Duke of Sussex, President & Vice President of Ghana, and Rev
Jessie Jackson.
