Ambassador Thomas Kwesi Quartey is the current Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission. With over 35 years of experience as a diplomat, Ambassador Quartey has served in various capacities in Ghana’s Embassies and High Commissions in Cotonou, Cairo, Brussels, Havana, and London and Ghana’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. He has also served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana and Executive secretary under former President John Mahama.
