A new exhibition by Patti Blueh Art & Design in partnership with HACSA, opens at the Accra
City Hotel on Thursday 3 rd October at 5:30 pm. The exhibition themed ‘Combining Cultures’
features a grand collection of oil paintings in the style of portraits, landscapes and abstract
canvases.
Patti Blueh Art & Design is a South African artist based in Ghana. Her paintings vividly
capture the distinctive customs of African subjects, from the precious bonding experience
between mothers and daughters through hair braiding to the duty of community leaders in
protecting their villages. Patti Blueh’s bold pieces permit the viewer to journey to African
communities and spaces without having to board a plane. Asked about her collection she
describes it as “an extract of Africa”.
The evening will commence with a reception and prize presentation to the winners of The
HACSA Summit 2019 raffle draw. The prizes include; 3 rd prize: dinner for two at Le Magellan
Restaurant, Osu; 2 nd prize: two nights at Zaina Lodge and a Safari Drive at Mole National
Park; 1 st prize: a brand new Mahindra KUV 100 car. This is will be followed by the
‘Combining Cultures‘ exhibition launch, celebrating African art.
