Tech4Girls is a hands-on learning program that trains girls and women in digital skills, including ICT, coding, and AI, to support their career development. This initiative creates opportunities for African girls and women to immerse themselves in technology and acquire skills needed for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). They also receive training in soft skills such as entrepreneurship, emotional intelligence, and leadership.
Women trained in ICT drive innovation and become change-makers in their communities. They can break the chains of poverty, not just for themselves but for entire generations to come. We invite you to join us to shape the future not only of the African continent but of the world, by becoming a ‘Founding Donor’ of the Tech4Girls Academy. Book your spot on our donor wall to day!
The HACSA Tech4Girls Academy will be a dedicated facility to accommodate and train scholars enrolled in the HACSA Tech4Girls Program. It will enable the HACSA Foundation to scale up the program and offer more women and girls the opportunity to acquire essential skills in technology, coding and artificial intelligence, which will enhance their career prospects and improve access to meaningful employment opportunities.
Tech4Girls Cohort 3
“My experience as a Tech4Girls scholar has transformed my life. The learning and mentorship provided by the T4G team have made me more confident and empowered to take on new challenges”
Tech4Girls Cohort 3
“As a lawyer new to technology, I initially found tech concepts abstract, but our instructor was amazing and made them practical and engaging. Beyond the technical knowledge, I’ve also gained a strong network of friendships and support from fellow scholars.”
Tech4Girls Cohort 3
“Tech4Girls helped me understand leadership and enterprenurship. The mentorship and lectures have been more impactful than a whole semester elsewhere.”
HACSA is committed to supporting and nurturing girls and young women even after they have completed our program. We do this through tailored career advice, internships, mentorship and opportunities for networking.
After completing their training, scholars are inducted into the Tech4Girls alumni network at an award ceremony where they are recognised for participation and completion and receive certificates. They then become part of the Tech4Girls community and are encouraged to benefit from the continuous support and mentorship it provides.
HACSA seeks to secure internship opportunities for scholars within our professional networks where they can practice their newly acquired tech skills and gain the requisite experience to progress into full employment. Currently, we have girls interning at Kowri, Svani Group, and Fidelity Bank, gaining hands-on experience in real-world tech environments. HACSA also creates teams made up of instructors, students, and alumni to work on projects to solve problems and apply the skills they have learned from their training.
Organizations that recuit HACSA alumni for internships will provide mentorship, support and guidance to the scholars.Alumni in turn, will serve as peer mentors to the next cohort of the program extending support to scholars and facilitating their learning journey in technology.
HACSA has developed an innovative virtual hub where students and alumni can come together with sponsors, mentors, instructors and staff, to learn, support each other, give feedback, network and collaborate even after they have completed the program.

The Tech4Girls Innovation Lab aims to provide ongoing support, practical real-life work experience and internships and career advancement opportunities. This bridges the gap between the new skills they have acquired and the smooth transitioning to a work environment. This initiative provides practical experience through hands-on projects that reinforce the skills learnt and foster a strong and supportive community and pursue their interests in diverse areas while encouraging lifelong learning.
HACSA’s Tech4Girls program has its origins in the successful “Girls Can Code” project initiated by Ambassador Johanna Svaniker during her tenure as Ghana’s Ambassador to France, Portugal, and UNESCO. The project was implemented by the HACSA Foundation in partnership with UNESCO, Ghana Education Service, Kofi Annan Centre for ICT, Kowri and Soronko Foundation.
